Lothar Bielke (member of the Swiss MBSR Association):
It was during a 6-month long sabbatical in Nepal and India that I started with Vipassana meditation of SN Goenka. Back to Switzerland, I continued to deepen my meditation practice through different approaches: silent retreats in Goenka’s Vipassana and Insight Meditation (Mindfulness) traditions with teachers like Fred von Allmen, Charles Genoud and Patricia Genoud-Feldmann at Beatenberg and in France, aswell as yoga classes. I am member of the Swiss MBSR Association and have followed training with the Center for Mindfulness in USA and in Europe with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Saki Santorelli, Florence Meleo-Meyer, Camilla Sköld and Bob Stahl.
I grew up in a town located on the upper end of Lake Zürich, in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. I have a master’s degree in Economy and Business administration from the University of St. Gallen, as well as an extensive professional experience in national and international companies. Currently, I work as an independent consultant in business administration and as a professional coach in Lausanne. I combine the practice of mindfulness with my professional activities.
